I’ve been a State Farm agent for 24 years, proudly serving the residents of Dallas County and the surrounding communities. My talented, dedicated team handles homeowners' insurance, farm insurance, auto insurance, life insurance as well as financial services.

I learned insurance from the ground up, starting with State Farm in 1992 as a claims adjuster, then working for five years in an agency field office. I opened my agency in 2000, and it has been an honor to help the people of this beautiful community ever since. At my agency, we love taking the time to get to know our customers and their needs, so we can make optimal coverage recommendations. It’s always a pleasure to help people manage everyday risks, plan for a successful future, and protect the things that matter most. We’re known for honesty, compassion, and customer service, and I wouldn’t have it any other way.

I grew up on a farm, and the rural lifestyle is always going to be a part of me. I’m a graduate of the University of Missouri with a degree in economics, and in my free time I still love spending time on the farm with my family, riding and showing horses, and raising cattle. I have grown children (and now grandchildren) living close by, so I consider myself very lucky. There’s nothing more important than family.

I’m also passionate about service to the community and helping others. My agency participates in charity events and fundraisers on a regular basis, and we take sponsorship opportunities where we can. I also work with and support my fellow business owners in the community as a member of the Buffalo Chamber of Commerce.

Teresa just hit her 1-year anniversary with Karla’s team. While she might not have a long tenure with Karla’s office, she has a wealth of insurance knowledge that she brings from previous stops. Teresa and husband Brian reside in the suburbs of Buffalo with their 2 children, Claire and Colsen. Outside of work you will find Teresa wrangling children and spending quality time with countless friends and family.

Macy comes from the metro area of Louisburg where she resides with her family. Outside of work you will find Macy riding her favorite yellow mare Fly, taming mustangs or pestering her siblings. All in good nature of course.

Stuart is the newest team member at Karla's. While Stuart might be the newest member, knowledge on the insurance business and policies are not lacking. Stuart and his wife Kayla reside in the hustle and bustle area of Dallas County, also known as Long Lane. Outside of work you will find Stuart feeding cows, raising horses and daydreaming of the upcoming hunting season.
